Photo Auction to take emerging Australian artists to the world

With its launch into Australia last November, hoped to add yet another market to its fast-growing footprint.

Based in South Korea, New York and Hong Kong, is an art retailer specialising in photography.

The group hires cultural content consultants who provide their artwork purchasing know-how to the company's clients.

网上体育投注 A worldwide presence is essential for Photo Auction, especially considering the global nature and proliferation of photography thanks to sites like Instagram and Tumblr that have made photography more accessible than ever before.

"Our launch in Australia is aimed at not only expanding sales, but also discovering emerging artists in Australia and their brand of attractive artwork, then ensuring it is presented to the world by us," says Kwon.

网上体育投注 Australia has significant potential for Photo Auction according to CFO Ellen Lee (pictured below).

"Total sales at Australian fine art auctions are growing at an exponential rate, with the size of the market valued at approximately $110 million per year," says Lee.

"This means now is the best time for us to enter the market."

Photo Auction has been selling artwork around the world since 2015 when it began in Seoul, Korea.

网上体育投注 The group has recently connected with ESPASSO, a premium brand that manufactures and sells high-end quality furniture to customers in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, London. Photo Auction provides a personalised customer service in art for buyers purchasing furniture through ESPASSO.

The portfolio of artists available through Photo Auction is significant; with more than 150 respected artists like Man Ray, Eugène Atget, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bill Brandt, Wang Ching Song, Eikoh Hosoe, Joo Myung Suk, Jung Bum Tae and Lee Wan Kyo available via Photo Auction's Australian website right now.

Kwon hopes the Australian market is as excited to access Photo Auction's portfolio as they are to encounter new Australian talent.

"For now, Photo Auction is planning future meaningful, distinctive exhibitions in Australia and hopefully, Australian clients are eagerly anticipating Photo Auction's next initiative," says Kwon.
